Plant Molecular Biology Researcher & Biotechnologist
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology | Department of Biosciences — Genetic Engineering and Translational Biology Laboratory., Integral University, Lucknow, India
Mushfa Khatoon is a researcher specializing in plant molecular biology, genetic engineering, medicinal plant research, and phytochemical analysis. She completed her Ph.D. at Integral University, Lucknow, with research focused on the role of cytochrome P450 monooxygenases in the sennoside biosynthetic pathway of Senna alexandrina. Her research explores gene identification, functional annotation, gene expression, plant secondary metabolites, and the potential biological activities of medicinal plant compounds. She has authored peer-reviewed research and review articles and contributed to academic book chapters covering plant biotechnology, genetic manipulation, phytochemistry, and natural-product research. Her technical expertise includes real-time PCR, DNA and RNA isolation, gene cloning, protein analysis, molecular docking, and bioinformatics. Alongside her research, she has teaching experience in commercial botany and enzymology at Integral University, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
A valuable learning experience that helped me connect genetic engineering principles with precision crop improvement and understand the growing importance of genome editing research.
An insightful session that connected molecular biology concepts with real-world agricultural applications. I gained a better understanding of precision genome editing and its potential.
The webinar helped me understand how CRISPR-Cas technology works and how genome editing can contribute to developing improved crop varieties with desirable agricultural traits.
Webinar is very informative and I have learned so much about Genome Editing by Dr. Mushfa Mam. There is so much that I dodn't know before that I have learnt in this webinar. Looking forward to more new sessions.
